October 20 th, 2005 - Bible Made Little Sense
   >> Latest Update                     >> Hmong Prayer Archive
A worker among the Miao (Hmong) recently wrote of a village teacher who longed for truth and had sought it in Buddhism and Qigong.   His mother had been seriously ill for years.

Restless for heart peace, he went to town one day specifically to locate a Bible.   After an entire day of searching, he found one--very expensive—in a bookstore.   Buying it, he began reading; but little of it made any sense to him.

Remembering that some of his old students were Christians, he called one to ask about Jesus.  The student gladly visited him to tell him about the Savior.    Finally hearing and understanding who Jesus is, the teacher opened his heart to Christ.

The next day he went to tell his mother about his decision and urged her to also receive Jesus.   Within one minute, the woman for whom there had been no cure was healed.   Since then, the teacher has told many about Jesus.   Not only has his family come to Christ through his testimony; 100 of his students have also.
