About 40,000 Hmong Njua live in Malipo and Maguan counties in Southeastern Yunnan province of China.   A few who speak the same language dialect also live in northern Vietnam.      

 

One of their legends tells of a Hmong savior who will lead them to a peaceful homeland of their own.   In the past this has resulted in their flocking to follow a miracle-working leader claiming to be their savior.

 

Though Valentine’s Day hasn’t been heard of by the Hmong Njua, love finds expression.  Some lovers give each other fruit tree saplings which they plant together.  For years after, they go into the woods together to tend their growing trees.

 

Pray:

• Lord, send people to tell the Hmong Njua the true story of Jesus—the One who died and went to heaven to prepare a place for those who believe in Him.   Help them respond to Your love, placing their lives in Your loving care, discovering the peace only You can give.
• Draw them into a relationship with Yourself until they are like sturdy trees planted by a river.  Make their spiritual understanding flourish and not wither.  

• Grow the roots of their lives deep into the soil of Your love.   Cause their lives to bear fruit that reflects Your character.   

• Then as Your love flows through them, give them a passion to “plant seeds” in the lives of other Hmong who have not heard of Jesus, the Savior.
