PYR, SL, and the Party Secretary. As for the Party Secretary with the deaf son I had a wonderful chance to plant some very good seed during that one visit almost two years ago, but no other opportunity has presented itself. It is not a problem of travel, but with my previous associations, such a visit could easily be misinterpreted by the authorities, and endanger the project in that area. I have had to let that one sit. We can continue to pray that God will faithfully bring life to the seed of truth planted in the Party Secretary’s heart.

I will still have some involvement with PYR and SL, my Dong colleagues on the survey, as the survey report is written up, but quite limited because I now live in L. Please pray again for their hearts as they continue to work with other Christians.

I can see two different ministry opportunities among the Dong. One is directly with a Dong believer who calls me every once in a while. The other is a house church missionary who has been sent out to reach the Dong. I will most likely have an increased involvement with these two men through the business venture, which will be starting up in a month or so. It is mutually beneficial for all of us, and I ask you to pray that, though a business, it will give us the opportunity for good access to reach Dong people.

• For the house church missionary and me, pray that we will be able to effectively work together to reach the Dong. He lives among them, and since he is not Dong, often needs the encouragement and guidance any cross-cultural missionary would.
• The Dong believer has a great gift for music (Dong opera and singing), and among other things, I am hoping my continued encouragement will give him what he needs to create Dong Christian music.
• Please pray that God will open doors, through the business or other opportunities, for me to develop relationships and share with the Dong people.
