A two year old Bouyei girl had surgery arranged to correct a developmental problem of her hip had her final follow up surgery. Her parents had abandoned her, leaving her in the care of her grandparents. Whether or not her disability had a role in their leaving her is unclear. Surgery at the hospital has made the difference between her being obviously crippled and her walking with the merest hint of a limp.
- Pray that she will not only know the joy of walking but also come to know and experience the joy of walking with Jesus.
- Pray for the many Bouyei children.
Prayer was requested for the relationship between WF and LJ, two Bouyei women. The one is a very young believer, and the second a dynamic teacher and evangelist. WF is helping LJ prepare milk for the children in the Bouyei preschool that has just been opened two months now. The children’s Sunday school program is growing and now the older children come on Saturday nights. WF goes to both meetings and their friendship is growing! They want to start visiting homes together in their Bouyei neighborhood. Unfortunately, we have not seen much of WF’s husband who never seems to be around when we come to visit and now has gone to the province to help his mother with harvest season. LJ’s husband is also not nearly as spiritually stable as his wife. He has had a gambling addiction.
- Please pray these two men would become spiritual leaders in their homes.
