Gold Fever!

Recently an Australian mining company announced that they have found gold in the heartland of the Phuan people. They have begun excavating a large open-pit mine.

Many local people have decided to dig for gold on the backside of the same hill the Australians are excavating. With no understanding of what gold mining is really about, they are digging burrows into the hillside in hopes of striking it rich. Recently one of these small tunnels caved in on four fortune seekers and they were all buried alive.

• Pray for the Phuan community as they suffer the ravages of gold fever. Pray that instead of gold they will seek for the kingdom of God.
