English Opportunities
People all around the world want to learn English, and Kham Tibetans are no exception.  Every year there are thousands of Tibetan students who have the opportunity to go to the larger cities and attend secondary school or university.  Some of them will be there for several years while others are there for only a short time.  Many of these students are the future teachers, doctors, government employees, etc. of Kham Tibetan areas.  These young Tibetans who come into the cities are leaving their homes and families and all that they know to try to get an education so they can be successful in life.  They are the younger generation and their minds are more open to new thinking and ideas. In many of these schools and universities Christian workers are teaching English to these Tibetan students. 

 

Pray:

• There is one particular school that seems to discourage students from attending English class.  Pray these students would be drawn to class and have opportunity to experience the love of Christ.
• For the relationships that the teachers are building with their students.  Pray they would have wisdom and opportunities to share the good news
• Scripture teaches that no one can come to Jesus unless the Father draws him (Jn.6:44).  Pray that the Father would be drawing the hearts of these English students to Himself!
• Pray the teachers would daily be abiding in Christ.  Apart from Him they can do nothing. (Jn. 15:4)
