Mobilization
WHO WILL GO?
This picture is a well known pass that must be
crossed on the way into the heartland of the
Kham people.
Physical barriers such as this symbolize the
significant spiritual barriers that prevent the
Kham people from
receiving the Gospel. Even if the daunting
physical challenges of living in this harsh
climate can be overcome and the extremely
complex language learned, the spiritual bondage
of the people remains. This is no place for the
faint of heart.
Pray:
- A mobilization of ‘workmen well approved’ is
essential to effectively penetrate these
remote areas with the good news of the love
of God. Pray the Lord of the harvest to
call men and women full of faith and the
Holy Spirit to labor in this field.
- Believers from Mongolia, Nepal, China,
Korea, and Burma would gain a missionary
urgency to reach the Kham. Some of these people have
linguistic similarities to the Tibetan
languages, and others have a Buddhist
background which is helpful in relating to
Tibetans.
- Westerners would form better partnerships
with believers from these and other places
to more effectively present the Gospel.
- For further intentional outreach to the
thousands of Tibetans in cities around the
world – that they would come to Christ
through the passionate outreach of local
churches.
