Tibetan Lamas (teachers)
Although a Tibetan Buddhist would claim that his spiritual ideal is not significantly contingent on the ‘things’ of this physical world, many lamas and monks find themselves in a luxurious setting.  The daily rituals and traditions they observe are bound to a plethora of objects - prayer flags, prayer beads, amulets, candles, prayer wheels, incense, idols, altars, etc.  All this ‘stuff’ crowds the lives of those who practice this religion – such as the man in the photo above.

• One of the reasons Tibetan Buddhists have so much external ritual in their religious practice is because of the immense internal void they are seeking to fill!  Pray that this void would grow to a proportion that would demand they seek Jesus to find what only He is able to offer!
• Pray their eyes would be opened to see their idols are made by the hands of men out of wood and stone!
• Consider the words written on the wall in the book of Daniel: “You praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or understand. But you did not honor the God who holds in his hand your life and all your ways.”
• Pray that God would show Tibetan Lamas - these influential members of Kham society - the uniqueness of Christ and why it was necessary for Him to come and die for all of humanity.

• Pray that high Lamas would put their faith in Christ and become teachers of real Truth to all of Kham!
