Kham Tibetans do not believe that man’s problem in life is
separation from God as a result of sin. They believe that
humanity’s universal problem is suffering, and the root of
all suffering is desire. To be delivered from suffering one
must eliminate desire. To this end they follow their
religious practices – DESIRING TO ELIMINATE DESIRE! The man
in the above picture passes his time by thumbing his prayer
beads and humming mantras.
- The
eyes of Tibetan people are blinded by the god of this
age (2Cor.4:4) to the contradiction of their own
religion. Pray the Lord would open their blinded eyes
to see this contradiction.
- Pray
Tibetans would realize it is not a matter of desire that
is evil, but that the important issue is RIGHT desire –
a desire for forgiveness and a relationship with God
through Jesus Christ.
- As
Christian workers take the Gospel to Tibetan people,
pray they would be led to hearts God has prepared with
right desire.
- Pray
for Kham believers – that they would boldly live a life
burning for their heart’s One Desire and many still in
darkness would be attracted to Jesus through them!
